The North Soccer Club is teaming up with Lenore’s Pantry for its 3rd Annual Can Drive to collect food for those in need. Donations of non perishable food items will be collected at Amvet Elementary School on Saturday, October 29th, 2011.

Away teams can collect items at their games and either arrange drop off at Amvet or to Ali McConville (aamcconville@aol.com).
North Soccer Partners with New England Revolution
The North Soccer Club is proud to announce a new partnership with the New England Revolution Youth Program. Becoming a Revolution Youth Partner grants the NSC exclusive access to professional coach and referee development sessions, player development clinics, community appearances, limited on-field experiences at games, and rebates on group tickets.
The North Soccer Club looks forward to an ongoing and productive partnership with the New England Revolution.

Combined Winter & Spring Tryouts 10/3 - 10/6!
We have great news to tell you about regarding upcoming tryouts for the North Soccer Club Winter and Spring seasons. Over the years North Soccer Club has held three separate tryouts corresponding to the Fall, Winter and Spring soccer seasons. In order to make the process more efficient and allow for additional prep time in registering teams for the Spring season, NSC has decided to hold one combined tryout for the Winter and Spring seasons beginning this year.
So what will this mean to you?
- Every player who wishes to play on a North Soccer Club team in the Winter indoor or Spring outdoor season has to attend tryouts to be held the week of October 3rd – October 6th.
- Players must be registered for each season separately on the NSC website by September 30th. If your child is only playing one season then you only have to register for the Winter or Spring seasons. If your child is going to play both Winter and Spring, then you have to sign them up for each season via online registration by 09/30/2011.
- Late signups and missed tryouts will result in a player being rostered according to historical tryouts and coaches evaluations, or not being placed on a team at all. We need all players, even if you are only going to play in the Spring, to attend this tryout.
- Players and parents will now only need to attend one tryout for the Winter & Spring seasons, instead of two! The Fall season tryouts will still be held at the end of June.
While it may seem too early for Spring tryouts now, most towns follow this schedule and many clubs require players to take part in the second session of the Winter indoor season to play Spring. North Soccer Club does not believe in this requirement, in order to accommodate and encourage participation in other Winter sports as well.
Once tryouts are completed, rosters will be put together following the same guidelines as prior North Soccer Club policy. For the Winter, NSC will establish teams based on players registered for the Winter season out of the complete number of players who attended the combined tryout. Winter team rosters will be created first and communicated to all NSC families during the third week of October. The Spring teams will be assigned in early February out of the total players who have registered for the Spring season at this time.
REMEMBER: all players for the Winter and Spring seasons must attend the upcoming tryouts during the week of October 3rd – October 6th!
We thank you for your attention and cooperation as we move forward with a more efficient and streamlined approach to the tryouts process. We appreciate your insights and welcome any feedback or questions you may have by submitting them online at www.northsoccerclub.com/contact
