The Club was formed in order to provide a competitive
alternative to the recreation program. The Indoor Soccer
program provides for the development of individual skills
that transfer well to the outdoor game. The evidence of
this can be seen in the improvement in skills shown by our
indoor players. The game is also a lot of fun!
Our goals were to increase interest in soccer; to improve the players
soccer skills; and to develop players for the high school
program.
Players for the teams authorized for play by the Board of
Directors are selected based on tryout or invitation.
Placement on various teams is at the discretion of the Board
and Coaches whose decision is final.
Players may play on
only one indoor team at a time with certain exceptions. Outdoor
players may play on one BAYS team only but may play on a MAPLE (
MAss Premier LEague) team at the same time.
We do not follow a policy of keeping the same team together
every year, nor do we set up "car pool" teams. We also
generally do not play up into an older division unless the
player demonstrates that he/she can play at that level and
is staying with the team they have played on and/or would be
the only player left behind as the year changes. Player
ages are determined as of July 31st for the following 12
months.
Coaches and officers of the North Soccer Club teams are
volunteers and are not paid for their time. They have many
responsibilities as Coach and we expect that their time and
efforts will be recognized and respected. Harassment
(verbal or physical) of any coach, officer or administrator
may result in suspension or expulsion of the player from the
Club as well as potential legal action.

Each player will receive a white and black NSC club shirt for use
during the season.
The shirt remains the Property of the Club and is to be returned
at the end of the season.
You are responsible for shorts, socks,
shin pads and shoes. The Club uniform is required for all players.
The shorts are red checkerboard style and may be purchased from us
or elsewhere however, they must be of the same style with no other
colors or decorations. Black socks that cover the shin pads
must be worn. Under 16 and Under 19 players will be provided
with one red NSC T-shirt as their uniform and these shirts may be
kept. These teams have chosen to wear the High School uniform
color schemes which has been approved by the Board of Directors.
Shin pads are required for all youth players. Make sure that
they are the proper size for your child. Turtleneck shirts may be
worn under the uniform shirt as required for the weather.
Red compression shorts may be worn.
Shorts and socks are made available by the Club as a convenience
to players. Shorts are $13.00 and socks are $3.00 and are available
from the Equipment Manager. The Club will also have NSC jackets,
warm-up suits, sweatshirts and other items available. Order forms
are required and are distributed at times during each season.
ALL PLAYERS WILL BE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL GAMES AND ALL PRACTICES.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND YOU MUST TELL YOUR COACH OR TEAM ADMINISTRATOR.
Each team is responsible for News Releases for their games. The
Coach is responsible but may delegate this
responsibility to an interested parent. The FREE PRESS carries
our news regularly. All of our press releases and announcements
will be in the FREE PRESS.
Tournament play is highly encouraged, but not required. Tournaments
allow for exposure to other teams and add to the competitive experience.
This year our U14 Boys Thunder, had the oppurtunity to play a visting team from England
Coaches may invite other Club players to fill out their team.
Only registered Club players may be members of NSC tournament teams.
Fees have been established by the Club and must be collected before play.
The Club will register and pay for the team. Out of state play requires
written permission from MYSA and the Board of Directors.
Patches will be provided by the Club for "patch tournaments."
Players will be notified of other Club policies as required.
Schedules and rules will be provided by the BAYS, John Smith
Sports Center, Players Choice, MYSA or other appropriate authority.
Remember, game schedules and league rules are set by the league,
not the North Soccer Club. Indoor soccer game times will vary by
facility and due to the popularity of the indoor game, it is very
difficult to reschedule games. Outdoor games will be played as
long as the field is playable. If games are postponed because of
rain, they will be rescheduled during the week and must be
made up within two weeks. Memorial Day and Columbus Day weekend
games may be played in advance as these are tournament weekends.
Your Coach will advise you of any changes.
Rose Field has been renovated by the Club and will be used for
games and practices this year. The field is located next to
the North Attleborough Community Elementary School (formerly the Junior High School) off Barrows Street. The
Club has also been responsible for the soccer fields kept at the
Amvet Boulevard School which are used for practices and games. All
fields and gyms used by the club are property of the North
Attleborough School Department. Gym space is in heavy demand and
availability is limited.
The Club also sponsors Summer soccer camps for recreational
and travel players as well as coach's clinics for the Recreation
Department and travel team coaches.
